OutcomeMD is designed to support HIPAA compliance. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) establishes standards for safeguarding the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information. While HIPAA compliance depends on how healthcare providers use and manage the system, OutcomeMD aims to support providers in meeting their regulatory obligations through industry best practices.
The HITRUST e1 assessment covers 44 critical security controls and demonstrates that an organization has implemented foundational cybersecurity practices.
